[HAUL] Snoopy x Skinfood, Missha Korean Cosmetics Haul

Thursday, December 24, 2015
For some reason, ever since the Christmas season came around I've been watching Charlie Brown on replay so when I saw the items in the Snoopy x Skinfood collection, it was an immediate "MUST BUY" moment for me. I've rarely ever been as excited for a Limited Edition collection as I've been with the Snoopy x Skinfood. I think the last time I was excited must have been when Skinfood released their Milky Rose collection which really made my jaw drop when I saw it.  Skinfood is one of my favorite brands for skincare. Unlike some of my favourite brands like Etude House, Innisfree, and Aritaum, it's not owned by Amore Pacific. I believe someone told me that Skinfood was actually one of the oldest cosmetic brands still around. There's just something very special about it. That being said, I love their Skincare products but not so much their colour cosmetics.

When my package came and I saw all those Snoopys, I was beyond excited. I placed my order on TesterKorea and I'm glad everything fit perfectly in the box and none of the paper boxes were crushed.

This is everything that came in the box - minus the vase and flowers of course.

All the loose items were placed in plastic bags and the cushion was bubble wrapped so that it wouldn't be damaged when shipped around.

What I Ordered

Aritaum Fresh Essence Mask x 5: These are one of my favourite sheet masks.

Skinfood Black Sugar First Serum 2X Essential: I have reviewed the Skinfood Black Sugar First Serum (Gold Edition) here before and I love it. I remember it really help brighten my skin and I've been meaning to repurchase for a while now. I couldn't find the original so I'm guessing Skinfood has replaced it with 2X Essential and Essential Light version.

Missha x Wonderwoman 4D Mascara: I've tried the 3D and sadly, it didn't work that well for me. I think my eyelashes are just too wimpy for it. Regardless, I'm trying the 4D now because it's cheap and the packaging is really adorable. Originally I ordered only one mascara but one of the items I ordered was out of stock, so I replaced it with the 4D mascara since they were at similar price points. It was either that or store credit.

Missha Eye Fit Stick Shadow (Dry Lavender): I was really excited for this because the promotional pictures show it as a cool tone taupey colour. I've used it now and I have to say, it's actually got a lot more red in it then expected. I think this colour might work on some people but it makes me look like I got an eye infection as most warm tone colours do. On the plus side, it glided on stayed all day.

Royal Honey Bounce Cushion [Snoopy Limited Edition]: This item is what propelled this haul. Korea knows it's all about the cushion cases now and tons of really beautiful cases are coming out. Even though I currently have a few cushions open, I really wanted this purely for the case.  I'm so glad that the picture is imprinted into the case - won't have to worry about that scratching off! Of course, hopefully I will adore the Royal Honey Bounce Cushion as well.

Skinfood Royal Honey Good Moisturizing Cream [Snoppy LE]: Skinfood has said that this can be used on the face as well as the body. Although I was expecting to really love this product, the scent threw me off a bit. It smells a bit like olive oil mix with spoiled milk or just plain repulsive.  Did I get a bad batch or does this product really smell like this? Someone please confirm. Skinfood skincare usually smells amazingly delicious and this is far from delicious. Reviewed Here.

Skinfood Snoopy Dry Decal Nail Stickers: These were just way too cute. I should have got the black and white ones too.

Samples: everything here is something I want to try.

That's it for my haul! Happy Holidays everyone!

[REVIEW] Origins Bestsellers Set + Bite Beauty Kir Royale Swatches (250 point reward)

Sunday, October 25, 2015
Oh Sephora, how you tempt me so with all your fabulous holiday gift sets.

As I've been quite preoccupied the past month, one of the things I've neglected was skincare. As a result, I didn't notice that I was running out of everything - eye cream, moisturizer, cleanser, etc. So when browsing Sephora one night, I saw this skincare set. It had everything that I needed so I didn't hesitate in making a purchase.

The Origins Bestseller Set retails for $42 USD / $50 CDN (and is said to be of $100 USD / $125 CDN value) on Sephora.com - just enough to also qualify for free shipping!

Experience Hauling from Sephora Online and What I Purchased

Wednesday, September 23, 2015

One of my sleepless nights lead me to browsing on Sephora. I haven't shopped there in a while because I was noticing a trend - I was never reaching for any of the makeup I buy from Sephora. This is because of two things:

[HAUL] Korean Beauty

Thursday, July 23, 2015
As you may all know, Innisfree is one of my favourite brands of all time. The fact that they source their ingredients from Jeju Island is just the icing on the cake. I have been to Jeju a few times now and I absolutely love it there. The atmosphere, the whether, and the people are very different from Seoul. It is a place where one can just relax and soak in the beauty of the Earth. So whenever I look at Innisfree, I just think back at the wonders that Jeju Island represents.

Today's haul is mainly due to some of the limited edition items that Innisfree came out with.

1. Innisfree Ampoule Intense Cushion (2015 Limited Edition) - the main reason for this haul. Although the Ampoule Intense Cushion is designed for winter use and it's summer right now, I just couldn't resist the camellia flowers on the case.

1. Water Glow Cushion 2. Long Wear Cushion 3. Ampoule Intense Cushion

2. Innisfree Glow Liquid Shadow #1 - Liquid shadows seem to be trending up all around the world these days. I've seen some Korean YouTubers feature this in their makeup tutorials. It seems pretty awesome and I can't wait to try it! The lady divers on the cap remind me of those in the Kdrama Warm and Cozy.

3. Nature Republic Soothing & Moisture Aloe Vera 92% Soothing Gel (repurchase) - although I've seen many brands come out with Aloe Vera gels recently, this is the one I've tested and tried for years now. Now that it's summer time and I'm outside quite often, aloe vera is a necessity.

4. Etude House Dr. Mascara Fixer Longlash Up Curl Fix Coating Fix (repurchase) - I've recently discover this lash primer and I absolutely love it! It lengthens and holds my eyelash curl really well and it's only around $5!

5. Etude House My Beauty Tool Eyelash Curler (for Monolids) - I thought the pink and curl packaging is really cute.

6. Missha The Style 4D Mascara - I have been hearing amazing things about this mascara. I can't wait to try it out as well!

Bonus: I've received a Skin79 Super Beblesh Balm Sample for free with my purchase.

Korean Beauty Haul #3

Monday, May 12, 2014
IHi everyone! Long time no post. Today I have a collective haul post for you. Living in Korea is great if you have control but if not - watch your wallet or stop watching YouTube and reading blogs!

I post up my hauls to give you shopping suggestions but please feel free to request a review on anything in this post!

Innisfree Mineral BB Cushion - remember in my first haul I picked up the refill? It turns out it can't fit it in the Hera case so I had to get one with the Innisfree case. I think this is now discontinued as I can't find it in the stores anymore. They've replaced it with two newer versions: Water Glow and Long Lasting. I'm tempted to give the Long Lasting version a try as Korea's humid summer is coming and I'm desperate for something that won't slide off my face.

Pure Heals Propolis 90 Ampoule - I've been seeing this product around on blogs but I couldn't find it in Korean stores until I happened by shop in Seoul Station. It was pretty affordable at 14 000Won (around $14) so I picked it up.

The Face Shop White Tree Snow Exfoliaating Foam Cleanser - I forgot my cleanser when I went to Busan and The Face Shop was having a sale so ... I bought it. The exfoliating bits are like soft sand and it smells good.

Etude House Face Conditioning Cream - I saw Bubzbeauty rave about this on her April Favorites video. I really trust her reviews so I had to this out.

Tony Moly Nutra-Energy Essence - I really love the Miracle Serum in this line but since Summer is coming soon, I wanted to try the essence.

The Face Shop Super Perfect Sun Cream SPF 50 +++ - gotta have sun cream for the sunny summer weather. I plan to be outside a lot.

V21 Volume Brightener x 2 - I saw this on Filia's blog (mysugarcoffee.blogspot.com). She raved so highly about it that I had to get it.

Banila Co. Prime Primer Hydrating - I'm sure that most of you are familiar with Banila Co.'s famous primers. They claimed to be the #1 best selling primer in Korea last year. I'm not sure about this year as Korea's always coming out with newer and better things. I've decided to give the Hydrating version a go. So far I'm really liking it. It doesn't have that silicon feeling at all!

3CE Creamy Lipstick in #9 Kitsch Biker - this was a gift that came with a Vogue Girl magazine. It's a hot orange based red lipstick.

Tony Moly Cristal Blusher #12 Pink Heart (핑크하트) - I heard this was one of their best selling colors so I had to try it out. I've about six of these blushers and I'm pretty satisfied with the quality.

Tony Moly Perfect Eyes Gel Fit Waterproof Liner in #7 Black - I tried this out in the store and was blown away by it's durability. I've been using it everyday since I got it - super impressed.

Missha Flower Bouquet Cherry Blossom Cleansing Oil - I really enjoyed my 30ml sample of this so I got the big bottle now. Sadly, they've changed the packaging and made the entire bottle pink. I prefer the previous packaging much more. (Not in the picture).

Missha The Style Green Tea Lip & Eye Makeup Remover - no reason, just a random purchase!

Aritaum Fresh Essense Mask - these are my favorite paper masks in Korea. They had a 1 + 1 sale so I bought 18. I've already used a few.

Etude House Moistfull Super Collagen First Trial Set - this line was released recently by Etude. It comes with the Ampoule Essence, Cream, and the CC Cream. So far, I'm really enoying everything!

Mise En Scene Perfect Repair Hair Treatment - I used a sample of this during my trip. After I blew dry my hair, it was so incredibly shiney. I went out to buy it the moment I landed back in Seoul.

Mise En Scene Perfect Repair Serum - I think this is the new version of Mise En Scene Damage Serum. It was on sale for 50% of so I picked it up. I'm really looking for products to make my hair shiney these days.

Writting this post really made me realize that the amount of shopping that I do is too much. There are so many cosmetics stores in Seoul that I tend to collect a few items each day. I see the stores everywhere I go. Literally everywhere - subway stations, shopping areas, streets that it's really hard to refrain myself especially during sales.

I hope you enjoyed my haul post and please feel free to make a review request!

Collective Korean Skincare and Cosmetics Haul: Dr. Jart, Skinfood, Kiss Me Heroine Make, Innisfree, Missha

Wednesday, March 12, 2014
As you all know, Spring is coming around and so many stores have launched their spring collections. They've done an amazing job as well. Among my favorite collections are Skinfood's Milky Rose Collection and Missha's Lotta and Wanna collection. Everytime I walked into those stores, I can't help but want to pick up something. Here are some of the things I've picked up over the past two weeks. Some products are repurchases.

Skinfood Rosy Essence Moist Make-up Fixer: When Skinfood's Spring collection first launched, I knew I had to get something. I really love the packaging. I needed a makeup fixer for the humidity of the summer anyways.

Skinfood Rose Essence Soft Cream Blusher in 02: I'm a big fan of this color because it's so natural and beautiful. It's a cream that once applied and spread becomes matte. It's incredibly easy to use and easy to spread out without losing it's color. You can also build up color.

Missha Time Revolution Aqua Youth Cream: I've ran out of my Primera Watery Cream so I thought this might be a good replacement. Boy was I wrong. I tried this twice before I gave up. Both times, my skin stung. I love the classy packaging though.

Innisfree Eco Science Eye Cream: This is the third time I've repurchased this. It's my favorite eye cream so far. I really like how it feels and the convenience of the pump dispenser.

Kiss Me Heroine Make Long and Curl Mascara: This is a repurchase as well. It came with a box of three Smooth Gel Shadow Pencils. The packaging says Made in Korea but I'm pretty sure this is a Japanese brand.

Missha Glossy Lip Rouge in Wanna Coral: I've finally gotten over my fuschia lip phase and entered a pink-coral phase. This is the color chosen for their Wanna Coral Collection and it was the initial lipstick that sucked me into Missha. There are three in the Wanna collection: Wanna Orange, Wanna Pink, and Wanna Coral. This lipstick is really smooth and glossy. It doesn't last long at all though.

Missha Signature Glam Art Gloss in Lotta Coral: While I was browsing around Missha, I found out that they had two main collections: Signature Lotta and Wanna. This is the gloss chosen for the Lotta Coral collection. I debated in getting this or the color above but I ended up getting both. This is a beautiful pink with coral undertones. It's not sticky at all.

Dr. Jart Ceramidin Cream: This product has been raved about everywhere. I've seen it on a few Korean beauty shows now and on tons of blogs. After I had that stinging reaction with the Missha cream, I decided to try this out instead. It's made in Korea but I've heard that you can buy this at Sephora as well.

Korean Cosmetics Haul: Nature Republic, The Face Shop, Innisfree

Sunday, February 2, 2014

When makeup brands have sales, it's usually around the same time. It's like a huge competition for them and it makes my wallet a whole lot lighter. So when Nature Day happened at the same time as the The Face Shop and NYX happened to be on 70% off clearance (which makes it the same price as you would get it in the States. NYX is ridicolously marked up here) I had to pick some stuff up.

Mise En Scene 3NT DARK CHOCO HELLO! BUBBLE FOAM COLOR - I've used this before.  It's really easy to use and the color goes on evenly and lasts for a long time. It comes with a color packet, container, pump, plastic gloves, plastic cape, hair mask pack, and essence oil.

2x Nature Republic Forest Garden Chamomile Cleansing Oil: This had the Get It Beauty sticker on it and the sales assistent said it is soothing for skin. I've been waiting for Nature Day to get this as I have just ran out of my Shu Uermura Ultim8.

The Face Shop Lovely me:ex blusher in #5 Pink Affair - it was just too cute to pass up. The color shows up as a slightly cool-tone pink.

Nature Republic Angel Lip Balm in #01 Peach Tint Balm and #02 Cranberry Tint Balm - What a lovely name. Nature Republic always gets me with their sweet names. I bought #2 first because it was the only color the store had. After putting it on, I got so many compliments on my lips that I went for a hunt in Myeongdong for the more natural #01 Peach Tint Balm. They leave an awesome long lasting stain on the lips and feels quite moisturizing. Simply amazing.

Nature Republic Botanical Stick Highlighter - This was a total impulse buy. I swatched it on my hands, it gave a nice glow and it blends really well.

Innisfree Melting BB Cushion Refill: I'm not sure if this will fit into my Hera Air Cushion case (it doesn't) but its worth the try. I'm tired of having cases everywhere. I've heard many good things about this BB Cushion and I can't wait to try it.

NYX Butter Gloss in Creme Brulee - I wanted to like this color but nudes just don't go well with my fair skin at all.

iHerb Haul #1: A Tea Lover's Dream + iHerb Discount Code

Tuesday, January 21, 2014
iHerb really impressed me with their shipping. It took 5 days for my things to arrive from America to South Korea. 5 Days!! Last time I order from Canada and it took 2 weeks...  I don't know what happened but I think I'll order more often from now on. Their selections of items is really impressive. They've got so many different things. I especially like shopping there for their tea selection. They've got ELF, Real Techniques, and Physician's Formula. A set of Real Techniques brushes cost $18 on iHerb but 45 000 Won (about $45) in Korean stores...

Shipping is a flat rate of $4 -  but you can save on that when you use the coupon code for $5 - $10 off (if you are a first time shopper at iHerb).

Discount Code for First Time Shoppers of iHerb: VVW971
Just enter this into the code box when you are checking out and you can received $5 off if your order if under $40 and $10 off if your order is over $40. Great way to save!

* Disclaimer: I think when you use this code, I receive about 1% - 1.5% of your total credited onto my next order. The credit is from iHerb's marketing budget so it won't cost you anything extra to use it. There's more information on the iHerb website if you would like to know more about their reward system. Everyone gets a coupon code to share after making an order.

I paid for everything in this order. Nothing is sponsored.

Anyhow onto the haul!

I have official became a tea horder...

Before I took a long vacation off I was deeply dependent on my Korean coffee mix.  I NEEDED a cup of coffee to function properly every morning due to long working hours and not getting enough rest. However after my break, I am now a tea lover. It doesn't mean that I no longer love coffee, but I just don't like that dependency on something.

Throughout the day, I like to drink tea. It's just so relaxing. Here's what I got:

1. Twinnings Variety Pack (20 bags): My coteacher has been telling me that Twinnings makes the best tea and I think she might be right. I love the variety of tea that Twinnings offer but since I'm still relatively a newbie to tea, I got a variety pack. It comes with 5 Earl Grey 5 Lady Grey 5 English Breakfast 5 Irish Breakfast. I think this is a great way to try out new teas.

2. Bigelow Assorted Teas: Herbal Tea (18 bags): It comes with 3 Pomegranate Pizzazz, 3 I Love Lemon with C, 3 Mint Medley, 3 Orange & Spice, 3 Cozy Chamomile, 3 Sweet Dreams (The whole reason I ordered this box was for this. The name is just too tempting. However, I found it to be somewhat of a disappointment since it tastes almost just like regular chamomile tea to me).

3. Bigelow Vanilla Chai (20 bags): This is a winner for me. The box comes with helpful instructions on how to prepare the tea. It made my entire kitchen smell so wonderful. The vanilla is really perfectly strong in this. I will definitely hoard up on this the next time I order (possibly hoard up on a few boxes of Twinnings Chai tea as well).

4. St. Dalfour Golden Mango Green Tea (25 bags): This was listed in their best sellers list. I had to try it. It's pretty yummy with a noticable mango taste. I would recommend this.

5. St. Dalfour Strawberry Rose Green Tea (25 bags): I've been craving rose tea but the strawberry is definitely more noticable than the rose.

6. Nutiva Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil: This smells absolutely AMAZING. Really yummy. So far I've only tried this in cooking. It adds a slight coconuty taste to the food.

7. Physician's Formula eyeliner set for Brown Eyes: I always order this. I find it to be a bit cheaper on iHerb than in Canadian drugstores. These are my HG eyeliners. They don't budge nor smudge.

And some freebies... a hair cap and a lip balm - each order comes with freebies

Overall: I'm really impressed with how fast I received my order. I am definitely planning to order again - perhaps more tea as I'm going through them so quicky.
Shipping cost a flat rate of $4 no matter which country you're in.

Discount Code for First Time Shoppers of iHerb: VVW971
Just enter this into the code box when you are checking out and you can received $5 off if your order if under $40 and $10 off if your order is over $40. Great way to save!

Haul of My First Week Back in Canada

Thursday, November 7, 2013
One of the first things I did upon arriving back in Canada, was to hit search for all the cosmetic things I had wanted to buy when I was in Korea. Here are some of the things I bought. I doubt the list will end here.

 1. Wet and Wild Eye Shadow Trio in Silent Treatment: I have purchased this before but the purple-taupe colour smashed into fine powder when I dropped it. Well, I dropped again and my favourite colour is slightly smashed again though not as bad as before.

 2. Maybelline Baby Lips in Strike A Rose: I loved the one in Cherry Lips, hopefully this will have a similar formula.

 3. Tarte Off the Cuff Palette: There are 4 blushes in this palette and 1 bronzer. I've always wanted to try a Tarte Blush. I originally intended to purchase just one - Exposed but for one single to be $31 CDN compared with 5 for $50, I chose the palette - more selection and too great of a deal to pass up.

 4. Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Sweetheart: I've heard a lot of raves about this and am excited to try it out!

5. Urban Decay Basic Palette - I've always wanted to look for the perferct mattes for a natural eye look and I think I've found them in this palette. I've wanted it since it first launched but there was no Sephora in Korea.  The only thing that bother's me is that the plastic case smells really strong and weird.. does anyone else smell that?
