Current Skincare Routine (Mostly Korean Products)

Thursday, May 14, 2015
Hi everyone! Today, I'd like to share with you the products that I use almost everyday as part of my skincare routine. These products are mostly Korean skincare products that I've purchased while I was in Korea and they work well for me.

CLEANSING

1. MISSHA Green Tea Eye and Lip Makeup Remover (reviewed here)
2. Banila Co Clean It Zero (reviewed here)
3. Mamonde Lotus Micro Mild Foam - this is a really gentle cleanser that I like to use as a second
step. It foams up just a little and it's not really all that strong.

SERUM AND EMULSION

1. Hanyul Optimizing Serum (review coming soon)
2. Hanyul Rice Essential Skin Emulsion (review coming soon)

Normally, I like to use a toner after cleansing my skin. However, at the moment I'm out it. If you guys have any recommendations, please leave it in the comments section :)

 OIL AND SKIN CREAM

1. Physician's Formula Argan Oil (Night Usage Only) - I've been really enjoying this argan oil. I see a noticeable softness and hydration in my skin after applying it on the night before.
2. Iope Ultimate Hydro Cream (review coming soon) - this is a really light weight gel like cream that provides amazing hydration even in the coldest and driest of winters.

SLEEPING MASK

Sulwhasoo Overnight Vitalizing Mask (review coming soon) - I like to use this on days when my skin feels a bit beaten up.

EYE CREAM

Innisfree Eco Science Eye Cream - yes, I'm still using this product. I've lost count of the number of times I've repurchased this. I adore it and I've yet to find a replacement. (Reviewed here).

toner, emulsion, ampoule and cream to firm my skin, smooth make it more healthy and very dewy and of course whitening objective.

and if you don't mind. ... iam living right now in seoul i'll get crazy of how korean girls make thier skin very dewy with makeup and seem to be natural?!!! I 'vve tried many highlighters but never got the same results😕

    3. Hi Nonna, thank you for reading my blog :) For eye cream, I highly recommend the Innisfree Eco Science Eye Cream. As for the skincare line with an interest of whitening and anti -aging, I recommend Missha Time Revolution skincare line. Laneige is also very good with some of their whitening products. I also highly recommend checking out SUM37 - they can be found in most department stores.

As for the dewy effect that Korean girls have, you can achieve it through a few methods such as 1) adding a little bit of skincare oil before you apply your foundation 2) using a brightening base (most stores have them) or 3) using a dewy bb cream (such as Iope Cushion XP or Innisfree Watery Cushion). You can also mix some liquid highlighter with your bb cream and apply it to areas that you want highlighted.

Hope this answered your question! :)

  4. Hey Chrissie, I chanced upon your blog when I was researching on Hanyul skincare. May I ask how did the Optimizing Serum do for you? Besides the Rice Essential and Artemisia cleansing foam, are there any other products you'd recommend? Any info here would really help, thank you!
